Information for Students

Parents and guardians are expected to assist the school authorities to ensure that their wards comply wiTh guidelines for pupil behavior;

1. Early attendance to school; students shall report to class before the first bell rings.

2. Students shall attend class with the requisite books and equipment.

3. Students shall follow the class teachers instruction and be receptive to being taught.

4. Pupils are expected to promote a positive learning environment; e.g. not shouting when talking, handlings books gently, appropriately using all tables and chairs supplied.

5. Pupils are expected to follow instructions and directions from the teachers and school staff at all times.

6. Conflicts. Differences between pupils should always be handled in a positive manner; fighting or verbal abuse shall result in disciplinary action. All conflicts between students should be reported to the class teacher, teachers on duty (TOD) or the Headmaster. The proprietress should be consulted when all attempts to resolve a conflict fails.

7. Selling of any items by any pupil or persons unauthorized person is strictly prohibited. Children are advised to report any offenders to the headmaster, proprietress or their class teacher. Stationery may be bought during regular class hours from the school bookshop and food from the canteen or brought from home.

8. Food and drinks are to be consumed in designated areas only; note eating in the classrooms is prohibited.

9. Littering in the classrooms, laboratories, libraries, computer lans and anywhere on the campus compound is strictly prohibited.

10. Harassment, bullying and threats of any form are not allowed and is subject to disciplinary action. Any student found to be sexually harassing any child or student will be dismissed and may be reported to police.

11. All books, supplies, furniture and other school property should be properly taken care of. Pupils will be required to pay for any damage to school property and will be sanctioned for deliberately damaging or destroying property.

12. Theft of any form is prohibited; all offenders will be punished or dismissed.

13. Pupils are expected to be honest at all times and should avoid cheating, dishonesty or unbridled bouts of exaggeration; thus may lead to disciplinary action including dismissal.

14. Use of profane language and sharing of vulgar materials in books, digital medium or in any other form is unacceptable and will likely lead to the child's dismissal.

About us

Hilltop School opened on September 29th 1997, with a first enrolment of 10 pupils from Nursery 1 through to Class 1. This number increased to 20 during the first term and reached an enrolment of 50 by the end of its first year. From an initial hiring of one headmistress,  a secretary, an accountant  and a teacher, Hilltop has grown into a campus that employs over 120 teachers and non-teaching staff with an enrolment of over 1,100  students across its five main divisions.
